The weekend finally drew to a close and the big Fanderson convention, SECTOR 25 ended. I was able to go and I had a great time. It was great to meet up again with friends and meet the guests. I took about 200 photos at the show and have quite a few notes. I will write up and publish a proper review on this site shortly.

In addition, we will have some new articles, interviews and perhaps even a contest or two to come, so stay tuned...

Several interesting news items to share. UFO is being broadcast in the US in High Definition on the "Family Room" VOOM satellite channel. As the show was not shot in 16:9 aspect ratio, the channel has cropped the top and bottom of the frame! The Corgi Captain Scarlet/New Captain Scarlet cars are now available in the UK. I was sent a link to a short video clip which shows what appears to be a promo/teaser for a 2004 THUNDERBIRDS show. Probably killed due to that wonderful movie. Work the visit: Movie clip. Just one week to the Joe 90 CD release! And issue 2 of SFM magazine is coming out soon!

Not so much a news piece, as a bit of fun. I set up an account on Frappr for all TV21 visitors to mark where you reside. It should be a very interesting experiment, as I suspect we are all over the world. All you need to do is go to this page and indicate where you live. It does not go down to the street level, you just specify the nearest town. Should be very interesting to watch it grow!

Conventions

The company Product Enterprise has been quietly releasing superb large die-cast replicas of vehicles from the Anderson shows over the last year. They started with vehicles from Space:1999 and then recently released a set of vehicles from UFO including the Mobile.

Finally (at least in my mind) they get to the really interesting stuff. By the end of October, they will have available, a Supercar, Fireball XL5, Stingray and SPV vehicle. Each one is between 170-240mm long (6-9" approx). The Supercar is also available in a "black and white" edition. Each vehicle is priced at £39.99

They also offer a high end range of larger vehicles based on Thunderbirds priced at £299.99. For the fan who has (almost) everything. God help me if they make a high end SPV...

Can it really be 40 years since Thunderbirds first graced our TV screens? That's two generations of kids growing up watching a show that only had 32 episodes. Amazing.

To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the show Silva Screen is releasing a special deluxe 2 CD set containing not only favourite tracks, but also some unreleased items and other goodies.
