Antonia Ellis, Lt. Joan Harrington in Gerry and Sylvia Anderson's UFO, will appear at the San Diego Comic Con International. The event takes place at the San Diego Convention Center, July 21st- 25th, 2004 San Diego, California.
Antonia will be greeting fans and signing autographs in the FAB Gear booth at designated times on Saturday and Sunday, July 24th and 25th. This will be Ellis's first convention appearance.
Antonia Ellis portrayed S.H.A.D.O. Moonbase Space Tracker Lt. Joan Harrington in 13 episodes of Gerry and Sylvia Anderson's 1970 television show UFO. She also originated the role of Roxie Hart in the London West End production of "Chicago", and appeared in Ken Russell's film "The Boyfriend" and Blake Edwards' "10".
Gerry and Sylvia Anderson's TV series "UFO" ran for a single season in 1970, but is well remembered by sci-fi fans. The British show depicted the secret war waged to save the Earth and its inhabitants from Alien invasion and starred Ed Bishop, Micheal Billington, George Sewell and Wanda Ventham. An updated version of "UFO" is currently in development at Trilogy Entertainment for the Fall 2004 season.
