DECEMBER 12
On December 12, the top favourite television series, Thunderbirds, exploded on to the big screen at the London Pavilion in full colour and Techniscope. The occasion was the world premiere of "Thunderbirds Are Go" which was being shown in aid of that very worthy charity Dr. Barnardo's.
It was a truly gala occasion packed with V.I.P.s from all fields and, of course, attended by the film's stars--Jeff Tracy and his five sons, Scott, Virgil, Alan, Gordon and John, plus Lady Penelope and Parker.
The two proudest, and rightly so, people in the audience, Gerry and Sylvia Anderson, saw yet another of their wonderful dreams come true as their fantastic puppets take over the big screen.
The film is being released through United Artists and can be seen on the powerful Rank-Odeon circuit from December 23 (North London) and major provincial cinemas throughout the country.
This is an event which will give a tremendous additional boost to the already fast-selling Thunderbirds merchandise so don't be caught napping.
