In a move that surprised everyone, it was announced that the new "Captain Scarlet" CGI series from Gerry Anderson is to commence broadcasting in the UK on February 12 2005. It was generally thought that the show would air during the autumn of 2005, so is a pleasant surprise indeed. The announcement was made at the London World Toy Fair on January 27th 2005. The first series will consist of 26 episodes, of which the first 13 are complete, so this initial run will just be a preview for the show, which will be repeated in September along with the final 13 episodes.
