  • Dreamwatch magazine features Gerry Anderson interview

When it rains, it pours. In addition to the previously reported Gerry Anderson special edition, UK magazine Dreamwatch features an interview with Gerry. This is issue 119. Naturally, he is discussing the Captain Scarlet CGI show currently in production. Incidentally, it now appears that there will be 26 episodes when the show airs some time in the Autumn of 2005. • Gerry Anderson and the F-104 Starfighter

Starfighter was one of the most dramatic looking aircraft of its day. It was often called "the missile with a man in it" because of its needle-like fuselage and high speed. The F-104 went into service amidst a flood of publicity and it achieved many speed and altitude records. Consequently, the F-104 Starfighter was a very popular plastic model kit subject during the late 1950s and early 1960s. By the time Gerry and Sylvia Anderson's Thunderbirds went into production in 1964, many different plastic model kits of the Starfighter were on the market in a variety of "fit the box" sizes.

  • Gerry Anderson Auction Feb 7 2009

Gerry Anderson is moving out of his office and back home while he works on new projects. As he is moving out, he no longer has room for the items in his office and so he is selling them. Much of it is of interest to collectors so there will be an auction next week, Feb 7 2009 in Battersea, South London. It is being organised by Comet Miniatures. Much of the auction consists of content from the New Captain Scarlet show as well as recent projects. Not much "classic" Anderson items, except some toys. There is an interesting set of Dinky Blueprints which will probably generate some interest. For full details and a complete list of items, check out this auction page: http://www.comet-miniatures.com/news_auction.php
