Here is an attempt at a comprehensive listing of all the die cast (metal) vehicles produced for the Gerry Anderson TV shows. The information after the manufacturer is country of manufacture and approximate years of availablility. Prices listed are original retail price. The scans from the Dinky catalogue are cropped versions of the full JPEGs they are linked to. The JPEGs also have illustrations from the catalogue showing the features.

This toy is about 4" long. Sadly, it is now extremely rare and when one goes on the market, they typically sell for several hundred dollars.

Quite an accurate little model. Rear propulsion unit spins. About 3" long. This was sold in a blister pack with the terror fish (below). Also to scale with the Marineville playset also from Matchbox.

TERROR FISH

Quite an accurate little model. The mouth opens. About 3" long.

Sold together in a carded blister pack. Metal and plastic parts. The rotor on the back of Stingray rotates.

With Lady Penelope and Parker sitting inside. Plastic retractible clear canopy. Four plastic harpoons could be fired from the rear of the car. The front grille folded down and contained a fireable rubber-tipped rocket.

RESCUE PACK

The entire series was available in a boxed "rescue set" containing TB1, TB2 with TB4, TB3 and FAB1 ($16.00). In the USA, the FAB 1 was only available this way, it was not sold alone.

Rescue Pack box

The Thunderbirds vehicle boxed set is being re-issued (1995) with GOLD plated versions. Includes TB1-3 (small TB4), FAB 1 and special International Rescue badge. The price is about #65.00 or $100.00. This is only available direct, the set is limited to 7500. The advertisment is below:

A nice vehicle. When pushed down and forward it would continue on, with a "WHEEEEEEE" sound.

SPECTRUM PURSUIT VEHICLE - SPV

Probably the finest of the bunch. Metallic blue-grey with white plastic front bumper. The tracks at the back folded down. The antennae on top flipped up, push down on the front and the rocket door would open, press it again and the rocket would fire. A plastic-tipped button on top opens the side door to reveal a small Captain Scarlet figure on a swing-down cradle.

Had gull-wing doors which opened to let plastic ramps fold down. Contained a plastic crate of radioactive "isotopes".

These blister-packed vehicles were also available in a boxed "command team" set containing one of each, but two Angel interceptors. There was also a large Cloudbase playset.

With automatic opening wings and extending tail fins. It had a battery-powered "engine exhaust". The wheels were on sprung struts.

ED STRAKER'S CAR

This is a fairly uninspiring model. No doors that open or such. The car does have a feature where you pull it back and it goes forward under its own stored power for a few feet.
