The archive collection of the late Derek Meddings will go up for auction at Bonhams in London on November 22nd 2006. This auction includes sketches and drawings from his career which included Thunderbirds and UFO. This is the first time in many years that Anderson-related content has been available.

Derek Meddings worked on the Gerry Anderson shows from Four Feather Falls all the way to UFO. He also worked on the 3 movies, Thunderbirds are Go!, Thunderbird 6 and Doppleganger. Sketches and designs from these productions will be part of the auction.

Some of the sketches were shown at the Fanderson 2000 convention. Since then, many of the sketches have been published in magazines and in Derek Meddings own book. Derek Meddings passed away in 1995.

After working on UFO, Derek Meddings moved on work on many large movies, including the Bond movies such as The Spy Who Loved Me, examples from which are to be offered in this collection.

Also consigned for the sale: a prototype Stormtrooper helmet from the original Star Wars film, a preparatory drawing of Jiminy Cricket from Disney's Pinocchio, a collection of previously unseen Beatles photographs, a rare example of all of the Beatles handwriting and two unique Spitting Image concept models of Margaret Thatcher and The Queen.
