We have received some photos of puppeteer Christine Glanville in action. These photos were taken about 10 years ago by Mike Joyce when he was working on "The Pig Attraction". It was a chat show with a difference for the presenters and guests were all famous puppets from the past and present, from Basil Brush to Roland Rat and beyond.
One of these programmes was dedicated to Gerry and boasted the more recent sets of the Tracy lounge and Lady P's drawing room into which he blue- screened Gerry and the puppet interviewer. Shane Rimmer and David Graham were along as voices for the puppets.
"So, for me, having Christine and David and everyone in studio was a real treat, almost like old times."
Mike worked at Century 21 during the late 1960s as a puppetmaker, it was there that he first met Christine Glanville. Mike sent the photos along for all to see. A total of 3 photos are in the Photo Gallery in the "Unusual Items" section.
"Christine was a wonderful, funny and very warm person and I'm sure she would be pleased."
The pictures show David Ross and Christine using the original puppets but on short strings - the other person is the studio floor manager, John Parrish - and the Studios were HTV Bristol (multicam video and not film).
