I thought I heard the voice of FIREBALL XL5's Steve Zodiac coming out of the World President's mouth in CAPTAIN SCARLET. Did I? Yes. Anderson had a core group of vocal actors he used repeatedly; only rarely (SCARLET, for example) did Anderson look outside his vocal troupe to find a suitable voice. The voice of both Steve Zodiac and the World President belongs to the late Paul Maxwell, who also voiced Paul Travers in THUNDERBIRDS ARE GO and provided many other voices in SCARLET, including Captain Grey and the Supreme Commander of Earth Forces ("Point 783").

Maxwell also appeared in the UFO episode "Subsmash"; among his more famous non-Anderson roles is the mysterious man in white in the flashback sequences at the beginning of INDIANA JONES AND THE LAST CRUSADE.
